Noren
¥33,000($211.20)
SOLD OUT
Noren is Japanese traditional fabric dividers, hung between rooms, on walls, or in doorways. It usually has one or more vertical slits cut from the bottom to nearly the top of the fabric, allowing for easier passage or viewing. This Noren is inspired by the towering cedar mountains of Chizu-cho, Tottori Prefecture, where our studio is located. Using a traditional Japanese shibori technique, the cedar mountain pattern is dyed using a needle, thread, and pliers to prevent dyeing. In Japan, Noren is generally about shoulder-length, but this Noren is made shorter so that it can be easily adopted by people overseas who are not familiar with Noren. We will produce the product after receiving orders. Orders received between March and October will be delivered around December. Orders received between November and February will be delivered two months later. < About us > Chizu Blue is a cooperative set up and run by local women, making indigo-dyed products the traditional way.
